Don't Want Resistance? Then Don't Set Big Goals

Don't Want Resistance? Then Don't Set Big Goals

Don't want resistance and obstacles?

Then don't set big goals.

The truth is, when you start desiring and working towards big goals — like starting a business or practicing self-improvement — you're going to have resistance, struggle, problems, obstacles, and even sacrifices may need to come.

This is something you need to accept if that goal is truly something you want to go after.

That may mean cutting out some subscriptions, spending more on healthier food, or holding off on that fancy item because your long-term goals are more important.

You may even come to a point where you have to sacrifice time with your loved ones so you can stay focused and continue to put in the work.

Or even leaving behind people who just don't match the healthier, better person you're trying to become.

I've heard before that if you hang around 4 unproductive people, you're going to be the 5th. And if you hang around 4 successful people, you're going to be the 5th.

It's going to suck, but think about this:

“Short term pain for long term pleasure.”

That new and improved you is going to attract other like-minded souls.

So if that big goal, that reality, is something you truly want, then think about what you need to change in your current reality to achieve your desired reality.

Starting anything isn't going to be easy at first — you're going to come across many challenges and obstacles, but just know that you're on the right path, and all of those challenges are stepping stones towards your success.

“Problems are a feature, not a bug.”

The negative is all a part of the human experience and the laws of the universe.

There's also an equal amount of good, and where your focus goes, your energy flows.

And in your life, why not choose the harder path sometimes, if it means that the person you become after is more resilient, strong, powerful, successful — then why not?

Enjoy the ride of both polarities.
